There’s a better tomorrow for America.

Where Was Mark Kirk?

Since 2001, when George Bush and Mark Kirk each took office in Washington, the damage to the American economy is undeniable, and much of that damage has been inflicted by Bush’s regressive energy policy. It is a policy that was written by the Big Oil industry, with the centerpiece of the policy being more domestic production, and little else. And gas prices have risen through the roof. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: Are you better off than you were when Bush and Kirk took office?

Where was Mark Kirk when the retail cost of a gallon of gas rose from $1.39 a gallon in January 2001 to $3.07 a gallon in February 2008?

Where was Mark Kirk when the average American family’s cost for residential energy services and gasoline soared from $2,865 in 2001 to $4,880 in 2007?

Where was Mark Kirk when the Bush Administration gave the oil industry $8.1 billion in tax breaks in 2005?

Where was Mark Kirk when the price of a barrel of crude oil rose from $30 in 2003 to $100 a barrel in February 2008?

Where Was Mark Kirk?
Right by Bush’s side.

There’s a better tomorrow for America. It begins on November 4th.
